— Stephen King
“Everybody’s been there, everybody’s been stared down
By the enemy
Fallen for the fear and done some disappearing
Bowed down to the mighty
Don’t run, stop holding your tongue
Maybe there’s a way out of the cage where you live
Maybe one of these days you can let the light in
Show me how big your brave is…”
New track by one of my favorite artists, Sara Bareilles. This song seemed to go along with our general theme of optimism and perseverance.
Everyone has felt like they were the opposite of brave. Everyone needs a reminder of just how brave they are.
Psst… yeah, you… You are BRAVE. Fight for yourself. You are all you need to be your best.
— Alanis Morissette
Be brave. Be strong. Be bold. Be YOU.
Never let the fear of how people might perceive your strength change your decision to act. Certainly don’t let your own fear dictate the actions you take.
Believe in yourself and do not be hindered by the what if’s of someday.
A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh

“To be a warrior is to learn to be genuine in every moment of your life.”– Chogyam Trungpa
Don’t beat yourself up for feeling what you need to. Don’t fake it ’til you make it. Feel it, and you’ll be a better person for it.
A warrior isn’t someone who pretends to be brave. It’s someone who, in spite of the fear, finds a way through the fear and comes out on the other side. As Ray said in his last post, you have to see and know you’re better for the trials, better for the struggles. Don’t act like these things don’t affect you. Prove that, although you may be shaken, while you are feeling the strain of it all, you’re continuing on and you’re not stopping until you succeed.
Whaddya’ say, warrior? Ready to face the world? I know you are.
